Chelsea is the newest member of the Reviitron team. After having struggled and almost losing hope in managing a treatment resistant and severe form of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), ADHD, and a progressive genetic hearing impairment, Chelsea decided to try the brain echo therapy she had heard worked very well for a friend of hers who developed Post Traumatic Stress as a result from experiences while nursing. Chelsea not only noticed improvement in SAD symptoms but also an improvement in energy and her ability to focus which is essential for raising her four young sons and completing a Masters of Social Work program.
Chelsea has experience in Mental Health and Addiction Counselling. She worked for the Saskatchewan Health Authority until she moved to alberta in 2020, accepting a job in the counselling services department of Red Deer Polytechnic.
If vulnerability were a superpower, Chelsea would be unstoppable. By sharing her struggle in search of her own mental health support for SAD, ADHD, and the physical disability, she lays a foundation of trust and encouragement for the people she comes alongside; allowing them to see they are not alone in their struggles. Chelsea’s dedication to supporting others in their mental health path, while holding accountable to her own, is inspiring.
